Application
Deadweight testers are the most accurate reference-grade technical devices for calibration and/or verification of pressure measuring instruments. Direct pressure measurement, as the weight applied to an area, and the use of high-class materials ensure excellent measurement uncertainty and long-term stability for up to 5 years. For these reasons, this equipment is most suitable for industrial laboratories, national metrological institutes, and research laboratories. Due to its closed pressure generation system and simple operating principle, the CPB5000 is ideally suited for on-site testing and maintenance of high-precision measuring instruments.
Functionality
To create individual test points, calibrated masses are placed on the piston system, which are adapted to the specific application. The pressure is generated by an integrated pump. A fine adjustment wheel is used for smooth pressure tuning. The masses are selected with optimal graduation, proportional to the most commonly used pressure steps. Measurements are taken when equilibrium is reached between the pressure generated in the piston part and the pressure generated by the piston system and the masses. Due to the high quality, the generated pressure remains stable for several minutes, allowing calibration/verification or adjustment of the tested pressure measuring instrument.

Special features
As a reference standard for the pressure unit, with an extended uncertainty of 0.01% FS. Working pressure standards with standard deviation: 0.002%, 0.0006% when transferring the pressure unit from national standards with NSP and standard deviation (0.002% and 0.0003% respectively).
A factory calibration/verification certificate is provided as standard. For reference standards, a verification certificate traceable to national standards is provided.
High long-term stability with a recommended recalibration cycle of 5 years.
Re-verification interval: 2-5 years.
The masses are made of non-magnetic steel. Matching to the specified pressure unit, local gravity, or manufacturing of masses to nominal weight is provided at no extra cost.
The patented quick-release ConTect connector allows quick replacement of piston systems depending on the required range.
Universal pressure generation devices and their use as comparators: -0.1...16 MPa - pneumatic (air, nitrogen) up to 160 MPa - hydraulic (transformer oil, kerosene, castor oil and others on request).
Application
Means of reproducing and transferring the pressure unit from -1 to 16 MPa (gas medium) up to 160 MPa (hydraulics).
Reference measuring instrument for verification, calibration, and adjustment of pressure measuring instruments in production and/or laboratories.
